Community engagement & advocacy
Community Work & Outreach
Bringing stories directly to readers, supporting youth literacy in Essex, and advocating for children's emotional rights during family law disputes.
Independent Bookshops & Local Reading Sessions
J. Johnson maintains a close relationship with independent booksellers such as Red Lion Books in Colchester. By holding in-person meet-and-greets, signing sessions, and open discussions, he ensures literature remains a vibrant, human connection rather than a distant digital commodity.
His outreach includes visiting local schools to inspire young readers through David Had A Dream!, encouraging youth to hold onto their ambitions regardless of hardship.
